Our projects are currently focused on the welfare and development of Burmese People in the tsunami-affected areas in southern Thailand. Three Thai juvenile delinquents, often using copied keys, have been entering and stealing from the homes of Burmese migrants while they are at work. Efforts made by migrants and the police have resulted in the arrest of these Thai thieves.

Labor minister Nai Chaloichai recently talked to the chief of the labor employment department, Nai Sonchai Sonhlak. They discussed some problems facing the department. There are significantly more illegal employees in Thailand than legally registered employees. Therefore, work should be done to reduce illegal employment as much as possible.
