Sunday, 28 October 2007 23:00

This training focused on 12 topics in duding cardio pulmonary resuscitation first aid for injury for cases of shock. The students will be trained both in theory and practice.

“This objective is intended to train them to take care of their own injuries and that of their friends at school. The second purposes are to let the children know how to respond and take care of the injuries in their community, their siblings, friends,” said Aung Kyi health coordinator of Grassroots HRE.

“In some cases, the improper response by workers to their own injuries can result in excessive bleeding, infection (unnecessary consequences) regarding the need for first aid training at school and Migrant community,” said Mie Mie trainer of Grassroots HRE health team.

Many of the Migrant workers are working in construction sites and fishing trawlers where injuries are very common. Other causes of injury are road accidences, maltreatment, abuses and assaults from local assailants. As the victims are often unable to access hospitals, we need this kind of first aid trainings.

The training was held in Ban Naing Learning Center and attended the 27 students from all the school of GHRE in Takuapa district.

Grassroots HRE not only provided health education to the student in learning center and adults in the community, but also basic health services to them.
