Foundation for Education and Development (Formerly Grassroots HRE) is working to promote education, human rights, and the development of safe, working environment for Burmese people in Thailand. Our projects are currently focused on the welfare and development of Burmese People in the tsunami-affected areas in southern Thailand. We are working with other regional and international organizations to achieve our goals.

The Foundation for Education and Development (FED)is grateful for the kindness and generosity of the many individuals and organizations who have enabled us to work on behalf of our people, the Burmese migrant families in Phang Nga province, Thailand. Whether sheltering men and women who are victims of abuse, abandonment, HIV/AIDS, or other physical and emotional trauma, creating Learning Centers for hundreds of young children unable to attend Thai schools, providing vocational training to men and women eager and able to generate income, or giving much-needed health care to children and adults, we rely on our donor’s financial support. We are thankful for gifts of every size and committed to making the most effective use of every donation we receive.
